Joan L. Moser, age 84, of Flushing, N.Y., died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at the William Bennenson Cardiac Rehabilitation Center in Flushing. Joan was born on May 10, 1930, the daughter of the late Albert and Marie Washk, and had lived in Queens, N.Y. for most of her life. She worked for many years as an administrative assistant.
Survivors include a daughter, Ronni McLaughlin and her husband Bruce of Wilton, her grandchildren Brian, Patrick and Kelly McLaughlin and a great-grandson, Brendan McLaughlin. She was also predeceased by her grandson Daniel B. McLaughlin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Jan. 29, 11 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 229 Danbury Road, Wilton.
Joan’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN, 38105 (stjude.org).
