Warren Seitz, 91

Warren Seitz, 91, died Sunday morning in Pittsboro, NC.

Warren was born and raised in Wyckoff, New Jersey. After college, he enlisted in the Army Air Force in 1942. Stationed at Guam in the South Pacific, he was assigned to the 20th Air Force — 305th Bomb Wing. After serving for four years, he returned home to begin his career with Gulf Oil Corporation, first in sales and later as a self-employed distributor.

A resident of Wilton, Ct. for forty years, he was involved for many years in all levels of Little League where he shared his love for baseball with countless young players. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Wilton Playshop where he worked alongside his wife.

In 1997 he and his wife moved to Pittsboro, NC to be closer to their family. Married for 66 years, he is survived by his wife, Anita Seitz; son, Gerald Seitz, daughter, Suzanne Carothers; grandsons Tyson Seitz, Nicholas Seitz; granddaughters, Lauren Prosser, Dana Wimsatt, Ellee Seitz; great-grandson, Wyatt Wimsatt, and great-granddaughters, Charlotte and Samantha Wimsatt.

A celebration of his life will be held at Galloway Ridge in Pittsboro, NC on May 30th at 4:30.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Save the Children Foundation in Westport, Ct.
