Domenica “Dee” Socci Nazzaro, a 59-year resident of Wilton, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016, at Norwalk Hospital. She was the wife of the late Jerry J. Nazzaro. Born in New Canaan on Nov. 29, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Luigia Tiani Socci.

Upon graduating from New Canaan High School (class of 1942), she attended business school and went on to work at Condé Nast Publications in Old Greenwich and at Armstrong Tire in Norwalk. In her later years, she worked for the Wilton School Lunch Program until her retirement.

She was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Wilton where she volunteered at the school and rectory.

Domenica is survived, and will be greatly missed, by her three daughters Linda Nazzaro Johnson of Shelton, Donna Nazzaro of Danbury, Janet Nazzaro of Norwalk, several nieces and nephews and many special friends — all whom meant a lot to her. She was predeceased by her brother, Roger Socci and wife Elizabeth Regan Socci, and a sister, Gemma Socci.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Oct. 10 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 229 Danbury Road, Wilton. Interment will take place in Hillside Cemetery, Wilton.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Bouton Funeral Home, 31 West Church Street, Georgetown.

The family would like to thank the staff at Wilton Meadows Health Care Center, South Norwalk Dialysis, Norwalk Hospital and The Greens at Cannondale for the wonderful care which Domenica received over the past several years.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department, 30 East 33rd St., New York, N.Y. 10016 or online at www.kidney.org.
