Pierre Cooley, 82, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died Sept. 16, 2015 after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease. A graduate of The School of Visual Arts, Pierre worked for 33 years for The New York Times where he later became one of its art directors.
Besides serving on the board of directors of two symphony orchestras, he acted, directed and produced plays for the Wilton Playshop. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, two children, and four grandchildren.
