Robert W. Hevner died peacefully at his home in Wilton on July 2 following a prolonged illness. He was 72.
A graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, he had a long and distinguished career in banking and finance, retiring as a Managing Director of Deutsche Bank. His business positions led him to live variously in Philadelphia, London, Toronto, and New York.
Loving adventure, he was an avid international traveler. He relished entertaining his family and friends, and his love of animals included his beloved basset hounds, his family said.
Generously volunteering his time, he was involved with a local animal rescue and rehabilitation home, and with SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives).
He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, John D. Hevner and Lisa F. Hevner of Elverson, PA, a niece and her husband, Jennifer and Morgan Stebbins of Garrison, N.Y., a nephew, Donald R. Hevner of Ardmore, PA, and the mother of his niece and nephew, Anne R. Hevner of West Chester, PA.
Details for a memorial service are pending. Burial will be private in Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport, PA.
